CraftAI Prompt collects the following category of user data:
Authentication information
If you choose to sign in to CraftAI Prompt (for example, to sync your saved preferences or access account-based features), we collect authentication information necessary to verify your identity and maintain your session. This may include your login credentials or an authentication token generated when you sign in.
We do not collect, and the Extension does not request, any of the following: personally identifiable information beyond what is needed for authentication, health information, financial or payment information, personal communications, location data, web browsing history, user activity tracking (such as keystroke logging or mouse movement), or website content, except for the specific prompt text a user actively submits for optimization (see Section 2).
2. How We Collect Data
- Authentication information is collected directly from you when you create an account or sign in to the Extension.
- Prompt text you choose to optimize is collected only at the moment you click the “optimize” action inside a supported AI chat input box. This text is transmitted to our backend solely to generate the optimized version of your prompt.
We do not collect data passively or in the background. Data is only collected as a direct result of an action you take.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Authentication information is used exclusively to verify your identity, keep you signed in, and associate your saved settings or preferences with your account.
- Prompt text is used exclusively to generate an optimized version of the prompt you submitted, through our AI processing service, and is not used for any other purpose such as advertising, profiling, or analytics.
We do not sell user data, and we do not use collected data to train unrelated AI models or share it with data brokers.
4. How We Store Your Data
- Authentication information is stored securely on our backend servers using industry-standard encryption, both in transit (via HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.
- Locally, the Extension uses Chrome’s storage API only to save basic, non-sensitive settings (such as whether the Extension is enabled) on your device.
- Prompt text submitted for optimization is processed in real time and is not permanently stored after the optimized result is returned to you.
5. How We Share Your Data
We do not share, sell, or rent your authentication information or prompt data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Data may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Authentication data may be processed by trusted infrastructure providers (such as our hosting and authentication service providers) solely to operate the sign-in functionality of the Extension, under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- AI processing partner(s): Prompt text submitted for optimization is sent to our backend AI processing service to generate the optimized prompt. This data is used only to fulfill that request and is not retained or repurposed.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
We do not permit any third party to use your data for purposes unrelated to providing and improving CraftAI Prompt’s core functionality.
6. Your Choices and Control
You are not required to sign in to use the core prompt optimization feature. If you choose to sign in, you may request deletion of your account and associated authentication data at any time by contacting us.
